Anyone have any experience with putting a non Audi cell phone rig in an A8? I am with one of the PCS services and there a few car kits for my hand set but none seem to include an external antenna. Some of the devices that put the caller on one of the FM channels seems to be a neat clean solution, but again these packages do not seem to address the antenna issue. I'm concerned with the "spaghetti factor" of these packages as well. The handset I have is a Nokia 6185 if this is of any help. Thanks in advance for any input you may have.

Check the FAQ on the A4 forum as they show 6100 series (also ok for 5100 series) hands free kit integrated with existing mic and radio (muting works) The handsfree kit uses antanna. Faq has one oic backwards.

Thanks for the help. Still learning my way around the site. Does the antenna that comes with the car kit require drilling through the glass for the connection or does it use the capacitive coupling (i.e wireless connection)? Drilling is acctually better from my stiuation since my car has the metallic tint which will cut down on the effectiveness of the capacitive coupling.
