I am probably going with a wetterauer chip for my '99 A8 due to reputation,focus on torque production and ease of installation. Other chips are available from TAP, GIAC, Hoppen Motorsports and others but their h.p. and torque claims are fairly close together.

this guy really know his stuff. Very intelligent man. I have his chip in my A4 and grin everytime I open her up. Looking to get an A8 now. I'll be looking to garrett for that chip for sure.
