Default Chips for Dad?

My dad recently bought a 97 A8 with 36,000 miles and wants to cip it to get rid of the terrible lag in acceleration. I think the chip cuts it from a second to .2 seconds. Is this correct? And if so, is the performance (they say 15 or 20 more horsepower) noticeable? What chip should i purchase? I tend to stay on the S4 board. Any help would be appreciated.

Default PES tuning has both the engine and tip chip. I have them in my A6 4.2. The tip is significantly

improved and the engine chip boosts HP in the A6 4.2 by 22 HP. I also added a K&N filter. This makes a difference at high RPM. Call them at (877) 697-1688 or check their website at pes-tuning.com. Tell them you got their name from me. They're real good people that stand behind the product. Ask for the most aggressive tip chip. It's still smooth but gives the best performance. Email me if you need anything more. I'm usually on the A6 site.
