Default Clean Car, Good Photos, Big Files (Excuse my exuberance.)

Washed and waxed it today so I decided to take some good photos while Seattle enjoyed another day of freak sunshine. Any of these could be our last for a long time. I hope you like them. If anybody wants larger copies I have some really, really big ones, drop me a line. 1500x1400 and down.<IMG SRC="http://www.isomedia.com/homes/bartlane/a81.jpg"><IMG SRC="http://www.isomedia.com/homes/bartlane/a82.jpg"><IMG SRC="http://www.isomedia.com/homes/bartlane/a83.jpg"><IMG SRC="http://www.isomedia.com/homes/bartlane/a84.jpg"><IMG SRC="http://www.isomedia.com/homes/bartlane/a85.jpg">

Default Nice car, but...

not that I'm complaining, but for some reason those BBS' just don't fit the car. You know how when you look at an S8 the wheels just look right? Well here, the wheels just don't seem to fit. They look kinda fussy on a car that everything else just blends. But hey, it's still and A8 and I wouldn't complain if the same exact configuration was in my garage. If you can though, sell those BBS wheels quick before yu put any more miles on 'em and hold out for the Avus wheels. These just don't look right. Maybe even the BBS RC's would fit better, but these don't. Man, what does it feel like driving such a sweet machine?!

Default Re: Nice car, but...

From a performance angle there is no contest. These are ~5 lbs lighter per wheel than the S8 rims, that is very important.

My 4 piston brakes I am installing will not require the use of a spacer with this wheel and that is important to me too since I will not have to use longer lug studs.

And visually, the more time I spend with them the more they grow on me. The center caps have the Audi rings so only an Audi person would know they are not stock. I like them a lot now and am pleased with the decision. More so than the day they arrived, that's for sure. You just have to see it in person.

Default my humble opinion on BBS wheels

they allways look boring and sometimes ugly in pictures. However, when you see a set up close in real life, you stand back and marvel and say to yourself "damn those look nice". Its happened to me many a times. I will be on tirerack.com and looking at BBS RX wheels and be like, ahh they are ugly. Then i'll see my freinds BMW 325 w/ 18" RX wheels and be like "they are beutiful". Strange but true. So Bart, all i can say is that i know the pictures dont do them justice, and that if you are happy, they must look damn nice in person

Default I couldn't agree more....

I have never been turned on by any photo of any BBS wheel but somehow I ended up with a set on my Vette and now my Audi. And now I like the way both of them look. I almost didn't buy them until I drove to a local speed shop and saw one in person. It is night and day from the photo. Thanks for pointing that out.
