Default Control Arm Question

I am having some noise in my front end. It takes a little while of driving to come but after driving for about 20 mins I'll get a noise when I turn the wheels while at a dead stop and you can hear it when I hit the brakes at a slow speed like the front suspension is flexing. I took a quick look cause I was gonna just get one of the control arm kits and replace everything. When I looked at the bolt on the upper control arms, that you are supposed to make sure is gonna be able to come out according to audipages.com I notice mine wasn't threaded into the spindle that it actually was a nut and bolt. So I would be able to undo the nut and pound out the bolt. This is making me believe that some of the arms might of already been replaced cause I believe the previous owner had said but cant remember cause it was so long ago. So on to my question does that bolt thread into the spindle or is it supposed to be a nut and bolt?? If you are wondering what bolt I'm refering to its the one that half way out on the pic. (Borrowed from audipages.com)

The noise is more of a groan. Last year it was a squeak but it went away after being store for the last year.

It has a nut. The pic show half way out. You still need to use PB blaster for days to get it out.
