Cruise Control Fix
For every one that has cleaned or replaced the turn signal stalk to fix the cruise control and had no results here is what worked for me. I found it in the C5 discussion

The procedure is the same for the A8, except for the location of the cruise contol module, ours in the box under the hood with the CPU. I've now had three weeks of perfect operation. Very easy, and free if you have a soldering iron.
