you forget that engine came from a mid engined car
The TB was immediately accessible in the lambo. Shame on Audi for being too lazy to design their own engine. However, they assume correctly that buyers of $100k+ cars keep them only a few years before trading, and that said owners will not ever see the TB service. Bottom line: you want to play, you've got to pay.

no, it is an audi engine
the lambo 5.2l was designed by audi.
and the location of the timing *chains* were dictated by the desire to shorten the engine and move weight rerwards. hence also the loocation of the major ancillaries. this is also the design of the s4 v8.
the use of chains means that this is essentially maintenance free, at least for well over 100,000 kms.
