Did the noise start after the car sat for a long period (a few days or more)
If so it could be lifters not pumping up.
I would upload a video, that would be helpful.

Did you refill the tank after the new fuel pump installed?

I really don't think this is the source of your misfires. If a chain pad is gone, it's very easy to pinpoint the noise at idle.

My point was that IF a chain pad was gone (loud chain dragging sound) and got quieter, it would indicate that it ate far enough into the tensioner piston to form it's own track. If so, you could loose the seat mount for a new pad...steel chain dragging across soft aluminum (alloy?)seat. Even then I don't think it would go silent...still should be very noisy.

Again, I think the theory of a tensioner being the source of your problem is a reach...only a visual under the valve covers would tell.

You need to put another 10 gallons in there to burp the pump.

ALWAYS take Tozo's advice, unless he tells you to eat Brussels sprouts :{)>

He's forgotten more than the rest of us know about these cars.

Ok so then Im going to put another 10 gallons or so in and clear any codes and start her back up??.......

Should I just let it run... get to operating temperature?? Ive been hesitant to let it run due to how it sounds from misfires.... i guess ill play it by ear on if adding more gas helps clear it up at all.....
