immediately broke so it's useless now. I'm trying to rig up a couple of allen wrenches and a pry bar in the two holes. It's really tight and it's not moving much, if at all.

This is exactly what happened to me when I pulled my old one out.

Default and the jackass award goes to.....

ME.

The sender cap is unscrewed clockwise, not counter clockwise.

That's why I couldn't get it off the last time either.

Onward....

Default and I noticed in your write-up you said clockwise but I sorta thought it was a typo for some reason

at least I know why I couldn't do it last time.

Default swapped the pump into the housing. The black flexible line is just a return...

and doesn't connect to anything correct?

It's just hanging inside the housing, I don't see a connection point.

Just want to be sure before I put it back in tomorrow.

Default Here's what I used, you have to align the arrows on the sender cap. Yes, clockwise.

It just hangs and yeah I wondered the same thing. "Where do I put this hose?"
