door car fabric coming apart
what can I do to temporary fix the fabric on my door card as I don't have the funds to get it professionally fixed. here is a pic that I took of the fabric coming apart

The simplest option is to remove the door panel (it takes about 45 minutes if you're not a professional) and then fix the fabric to the sponge with fabric glue. You re-assemble and it looks like new if you look on the internet there are detailed instructions on how to disassemble the panel

That's what I did, took off the door cards and used contact cement to reattach the leather. Scrape out the disintegrated foam. It might be sorta possible to do this with the door card in place but I did not risk that mess.
I also found a replacement for the fragile little door card clips that I am happy with:
A133 9.8mm or 23/64" "Christmas Tree" retainers. They can be found in quantity for cheap in ebay kits, or sorta cheap:
As per the link these are Ford N807721-S or Chrysler 6504043. These replace the 2 part clip with the little plastic dingus on the door card and the receiver insert on the door. Careful of the assortments, most come with a similar retainer which is not quite fat enough to do the job.
