My driver side vents blow hot air even when the temp setting is set to LO. The fan speeds up but the temperature of the air stays the same. On the other hand, the passenger side works fine. Summer is here, and this thing is driving me nuts. Any ideas ??? I have the vag-com, but I don't know how to diagnose the problem component.

There's one valve for the left heater core and one for the right under the hood near where the heater hoses go through the firewall. They regulate the side vent temperature. If one doesn't get power, or is stuck open, that side gets heat all the time. More details are in brun_fid's HVAC thread below, though your fuse is okay if the right side gets cold.
