I hear what you're saying. In that case I would just do the 10mm plate and the 20mm DRA prob. 10mm isnt much, just enough to move it out some.

Im gonna look into some measurements this weekend and see how far it really needs to come out. The wheels im thinking of getting are the same size as my stockies so ill be able to measure with those. Actually I think the offset is a tad different.

Im hoping to have this done while Im away for vacation. Im anticipating coming around the corner to my car looking sounding and feeling better. Ive never done that before, i usually do my own work.

I've ran everything from a 8mm to 20mm with longer lugs. Never an issue. I've also run 25mm to 3" bolt on hub spacers without issue.

Looking to use Magnaflow 12568 full stainless mufflers with 'Tru-X Perforated Core'

If you've got the stock S8 rims with 245's at ET48, you'll fit 20mm in there.
CLKFAN has 245's (on 20's) at ET25 with low coil-overs.

Well we shared our budget exhaust plans, and it sounds like a couple of us would have full S8 systems for sale at some point. As far as other models, you won't have anything that bolts right up to the D2 without some modification. It is quite snug under there.

Just an fyi, the S8 exhaust part numbers are the same as the Eberspracher factory system on the PFL... so the only mod you will get is visual, the chrome tips... so save yourself the effort, go magnaflow... don't ask how I found this out...
