Extended Warranty for 2004 A8L
I purchased a "Certified" pre-owned 2004 A8L approximately 18 months ago with 42K miles. Now I have approximately 70K miles on it. Most of these miles are highway miles. (I did a lot of traveling this year). I have had a few problems that my dealer has notified me about and of course none of the problems are covered by the extended warranty (according to them).
Before I reached 50K, I had to have my telematics unit replaced. Now, my tire pressure monitoring system does not work. The dealer told me something about a problem with my suspension system that would cost about $2300 to get fixed.
First, how can I find out what the Audi extended warranty covers? I am worried that there will be further breakdowns in my car. (I am finding out the true cost of owning a luxury car).
Second, I received a quote from AAAutowarranty.com for approximately $2500 to cover my car until it gets 220001 miles or 60 months. For another $150, they will cover seals and gaskets. I understand that they will not cover the two preexisting conditions that I mentioned. Is this a good price? Later today, I will look at ndwarrantyservice.com to see what they have to offer.

You just missed out on a group buy coordinated by BruceM by 2 weeks...
That said, give him a holler to see what he can do for you. Many happy customers, not the least of whom is PKrazee, aka the Great Lakes Lamprey.

CPO is a named component warranty.....
Most buyers assume that it is the same as the original factory warranty, and that's far from the truth. It's a named component coverage, so if the part isn't specifically named in the policy, it's not covered. See the link to the AudiUSA website for their policy verbiage.

http://www.audiusa.com/etc/medialib/cms4imp/audi2/aoa/product/certified_pre_owned.Par.0016.File.pdf</a
