Default F125 Switch ...Dead?

How can you check if the F125 switch is dead?

i had a recent error code with the switch

00293 - Multi-function Switch (F125)
05-10 - Input Open - Intermittent

and now it says DTC Error

Default If it is throwing the code, most likely it is dead. Here is the step by step replacement procedure:

<a href="http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/auto_transmission/f125switchreplace.html">http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/auto_transmission/f125switchreplace.html</a>

The internal switches in the F125 break after a while ( they are plastic ). Also, if water gets into the plug, the corrosion will ruin the connector quickly.

Default There is a procedure in the Bently

When you shift gears, go very SLOW and deliberate. Dan had the same problem, so did another person I know. The switch fixed it both times.

You would have to go through a lot of troubleshooting via the Bently to verify it is dead, but it most likely is.
