Default Re: A Few RNS-E Pictures

Very cool! A couple of years ago I did the Symphony II to RNS-D upgrade for my 2001 S8 and have the CAN controller etc. I didn't realize I could have gone to the RNS-E! Is it a plug-and-play with the RNS-D? Where is the SD card slot on the RNS-E?
Thanks

Looks fantastic. I am considering the same mod, based on these pics, thanks. However, I am not concerned with GPS at all and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with finding a fascia for our car? Can we modify an existing fascia for the A6 or A4 fitted with the double DIN Symphony II?

The fascia on the RNS-E will have to be modified to fit the '8 dash. But it's not a massive job, you just need to take your time.

As for plug-and-play, if only. It'll take a few hours to get the thing completely wired in, but there are some good guides around.

The SD card slots are behind the main screen, and what a difference they make to the availability/quantity of music

I prefer the sound of the RNS-E unit, over the RNS-D too
