Finally got my "puck" working in the 03 S8, only took over a year to get to it.....
From an earlier thread back in june 2007:
"My Motorola Razor recognizes the Bluetooth "puck" and visa versa.
I can store numbers in the factory setup, I can voice dial through the factory setup, I can answer incoming calls by pressing the button on the steering wheel. They can hear me perfectly on the other end. Pretty nice huh?
Only one problem.....I can not HEAR the other end at all! Nothing!! Just a little bit of static.
My On star works perfectly, I can hear "Betty" just fine. Anyone have any ideas?
Could it be a problem with the Razor, the "puck", the cradle, the cord, or am I missing something simple? Does On star need to be cancelled, it seem to override the "phone" functions from time to time."
A month ago I got a new phone, LG Dare, and I matched it with the puck to see if the was any difference, well I must have touched the cord just right because I HEARD the other end for a sec. So I got exited and started messing with it again. It turned out to be a short or open in the cradle cord. I would hear the other end if I held the cradle cord just right.
I got a hold of a different cradle, (thanks to a AW Forum member) and now it works like it should. Steering wheel controls works. I can voice dial if I store the "name tags " first. Only thing it's missing is the complete phonebook from my LG Dare.
No more, Can you hear me now? Huh? What's that you say? I can't hear ya. Aw just puck it!!

Congrats! I haven't used mine much cuz folks tell me it's hard for them to hear me.
I hear them fine, and all steering wheel functions work, but if they can't hear me... :-(
Tis probably the Treo 700p that's causing it?
