Finished S8 Rear Sway Bar Install.....It's Great!
I actually took some pictures and have already prepared them for a procedure....it's easy....but did take some time....will post the procedure within 2 days.
My car is on rails!!!!
My buddy just got a Camaro SS, six speed with a 330 HP engine....he's a Camaro nut and haven't had one for a while....
So who wins???

It'll be a big help on track ...
You'll be able to run closer to optimum rear tire hot pressures (i.e., lower). The result will be about the same amount of grip from the rear, but you've got better load distribution across the front tires, leading to more grip from the front and less understeer.
BTW: What are the diameters of the A8 and S8 rear bars?

IMHO ...
Thanks to lawyers, all cars today come from the factory with too much understeer. Understeer is certainly safer for the inexperienced driver who's natural reaction is to brake when entering a corner too hot (which can initiate a spin), but essentially all driving enthusiasts prefer the more neutral handling you can get with a stiffer rear bar.

While you're at it...
Look into the spring rate on the front and rear of the S8. Total rate is irrelevant, but front to rear bias is quite relevant. If the S8 came with the same front sway bar as the A8, and the front to rear spring rate ratio is the same (just stiffer on the S8), then it is quite probable that they did design the A8 with a little bit of understeer to tailor to the market of the A8(non-aggressive drivers), and went for a more neutral, or slight oversteer in the more sporty S8. Let us know what you find out!

Good question ...
It's be very interesting to know the OE spring rates of the A8 and S8, and the spring rates of the H&R's. Unfortunately, I haven't seen spring rates quoted anywhere.
