I have been looking at them lately, and their resale values. I could pick up a used one in a year or two and really get a deal. It's not an aluminum Audi though.

Default It is a nice car indeed. The only things I don't like as much is its less sporty handling, ...

...steel body and the fact the new smaller Volkswagen models seem to try very hard to visually look like their big sister.

Default Paldi has one. Nice build quality but call me shallow....

I just like the fact that there are four rings on the grill of the car. VW bombed with sales because of this mere fact.

They should have come up with a new brand, like Maybach

VW execs needed something better than a W8 Passat to drive to industry meetings.

i traded my 2003 S8 for a new 2004 w12 Phaeton and as great as the S8 was, there's no comparison from refinement, technology and the sheer "feel good" quality of the W12 engine. You wouldn't go wrong with either but while I really liked my S8, I love my Phaeton.

I personally would never buy a VW for that amount. I would get the A8L. R&T did not rate the phaeton very well ( last place ), and the A8L came in first over the merc, and bmw.

An S8 is a sporting luxury car like no other, and it is under 4000lbs.
