Found a S8 at a local dealer but needs work.. how bad is the work?

I know you want a s8. And Im fond of them myself. But personally, Id NEVER spend more then $3800 on a audi a8. They are great cars, but at $11k or more, your talking 2003 audi a8 money. And when you go looking at audi a8s, everyone says " I just did a timing belt service".. LOL but without receipts its just talk in the wind. Plus if they didnt do the tensioner and the water pump, your going to have to pull off everything and mess with the timing to replace the water pump and tensioner, so you might as well do the timing belt again.
Sure, kbb or nada might say the car is worth it on value, but trust me, there are nicer cars for $13k. Trust me, if you spend $13k on a car, and the trans goes or timing belt goes, your gonna be angry. I personally love audi a8s because its a luxury car that you can get on the cheap.
