Front outer tie rod end
So i need to replace my driver side front outer tie rod end and i was looking for some suggestions on what brand and if i should just replace both outer tie rods on the front so i dont have to pay for another alignment when the other side needs replacing. I have been looking at these: http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/200...e_rod_end.html
Also if I get the Moog part that is on the page I listed, do I need to grease that part or is that not one that needs to be greased?

PartsGeek is a great source..love dealing with them. But don't get the Moog...go with Lemforder. A little higher price, but well worth it. The Lems are known for stout quality and long term dependability..I can personally attest to that. TRW would be my second choice.
All tie rod ends come pre-packed with the correct grease...ready to plug-n-play.

Thanks for the response. I was quoted $330 to replace the inner and outer front left tie rod assembly that includes an alignment. My car has 177k miles and i dont know if the whole assembly has been replaced previously. Would it be wise to replace the whole assembly (both inner and outer)?

That sounds "reasonable" (not sure about labor costs...do all my own), but only if using quality parts..especially the outer joints, which are much more subject to wear. Plus, needs to be a well trained mechanic, so as not to damage the steering gear in the process.
Change inners and outers?
Depends on if you plan to keep the car a long time.
I've actually had one of my inner joints out, thinking it had gone bad (turned out to be steering gear pre-load adjustment, instead), but is was like brand new...tight, smooth and fully lubed...if you have a ripped or dislodged tie rod dust boot (the "accordion"), this will NOT be the case. My car had 125K miles at the time.
