I was debating whether I want to swap the pump with 3/4 of fuel when I had this thought...

Is there any overflow from one side of the tank to the other?

I know it's setup to pump when the car is running. I just don't remember how high the middle was. If it doesn't naturally overflow, maybe my fuel issue is cut in half, or at least it's less.

If I can get away with siphoning 7-8 gallons from the right side that's not so bad.

If I follow that thinking, does that also mean below 1/2 tank the right side (where the pump is located) should be basically empty? I know the two side aren't identical so maybe it's not exactly "1/2".

I didn't empty my tank when I did the fuel pump, but I only had a little more that a quarter tank.

I changed fuel pump on just over half a tank without any problem.
