My previous replacement of factory specified fluid with synthetic was my 1990 BMW 750. When I changed to Amsoil synthetic ( which is in my humble opinion superior to the Mobil 1) the tranny began shifting like new, and continued that way for the remaining 3 years I had the car. I performed a drain and change twice due to the residual in the TC.
I have been thinking about doing this, but haven't had the nerve yet - the news of the Mobil 1 has me reconsidering.

I used a pump attachment on my drill to fill my tranny when I did my flush. If the trans line was disconneted, I wonder if you could do the flush this way ? It wasn't lightning fast so a quicker pump might be in order. With another person watching the flow on the line you would be able to tell when it ran clear. What do you guys think ?

It is lifetime fluid if you use it. The storage life is only 3 years.
