going to the real deal Octoberfest flying into Munich and then driving to Bremen and I would really like to rent an A6 or A8 for the drive. Does anybody know of a car rental company over there that leases Audis?

If you're there in late September you should stop by the IAA in Frankfurt
Let me know if you want details. Larges and I think most significant auto show in the world.
AutoEurope is pretty good. Call them to ask for specific models (some aren't represented on the web)

http://www.autoeurope.com</a

Europcar (www.europcar.com) had good rates - got a nice little turbo Passat for 3 weeks for about 38 bucks a day.... They'll even rent you an S8 for 1300 per week....
Have fun. Go by a dealer and insist on driving a used S8 - most fun you'll have with your pants on...

In Germany there are 3 big car renatl companys.
1. Europcar (www.europcar.de)
2. Sixt (www.sixt.de)
3. Hertz (www.hertz.de)
All sites are available in English! You will find A6 and A8 in all companys.
I wish you a nice trip!!!

Last time I was in Germany I rented a BMW 5 series from Europcar and drove from Frankfurt down to the Auto&Technik Museum in Sinsheim. The drive (autobahn) was great and the museum was fantastic. Europcar was a pleasure to deal with and the car was in excellent condition. If I remember correctly the cost was around USD $130 for the day with unlimited mileage. I beleive they rent Audi as well but am not sure which models.

Europcar; what they have depends on where you land.
Got an Avant diesel and was it fun! Don't forget that you must specify if you must have an automatic transmission. Germans expect that everyone drives a stick.
