Gonna be a body man soon!
Parked my car on the street at 8 this morning, came out at 10 and found a note on the window....

"I backed into the front of your car this morning.
I think there might be a crack by the lcense plate. Please call me with an estimate or let me know how to handle this."
She left her name/number....actually lives in the building next to mine, and bought a condo across the street. She had the dog in the back of her car and BAM she ran into my car parking.
So I told her it was $100 for the insert and I bought a can of paint in an aresol can and clear coat for about $60 shipped (got some cleaner and tack rags too).
She's going to write me a check for it and I'll see how well the paint matches. When I put the chrome strip on and pulled the center grill (which you don't have to), I broke the plate holder plastic fingers and it never set flush since...now it really doesn't sit flush!

I will post a procedure, I think a lot of people would like to see this. If it works well, I'm going to try and paint my key scratch on the side of the car.
When I bought the car new, it cost $125 to have the plate insert painted and it never really matched.

Well, I give her a credit for leaving her info instead of running away without telling you.
I had an incident to my V8 before, somebody ram the side of the car with shopping cart, giving nice7" scratch and no memo....
