Has anyone done a D2 A8 Picture Thread? If not HERE IT IS.

My two D2s
I like this car in silver and black so I have both colors. I would someday like to find a white one. I tried to order one in bright red, however, the order was canceled within a month so I ordered the silver car. A bright red A8L would have been something really sharp.

First love: This one had a "bad" transmisison, Dealer wanted 7k, then revised that to 5k when I told them I knew where they get the ZF transmissions from in Michigan.. Then I drove it with nothing other than new trans oil/filter for another 78,000 miles, but had to shift it in Tiptronic mode the whole way, or it hunted....
Should have kept it. Ran great, and the trans worked fine, but the TCU I think was the problem.
Second love... Oh, the D3 body in A8L vintage is a thing of wonder. It's huge, but it looks and drives much smaller than it is. Bought this one with just 13,700 miles on the odometer, but got tired of the nearly 700.00 per month it was costing me when the economy tanked...
At the dealership, taking it that first night...
It was like a new car, only I was paying loaded Honda Accord prices for a nearly 85k car...
Later near Craters of the Moon here in Idaho.
Have to say, of all the colors I've owned, the 2004 was the best looking, and hid dirt the best between washes.
So I sold it, and took some cash from the sale, and bought my current love. Had bought these 20x10's for the 2004 A8L, and they worked great on that car, but also work fine, and look good on the 2001 S8.
But I like the Bremmerkraft's and had money left over from the sale of the A8L for new shoes..
