Default Headlight update...

Well after some research in the bentley i found the headlight control unit. It looks like a double relay and fits in 2 slots. IT appears that when i tap on the relay the driver side light will power up. My problem the whole time as been the fact that i have a poor conneciton in the relay itself. I cant wait to see how much this will cost me..

Default I think that's the bulb failure detector. If you can get the cover off, ...

you may find a bad solder joint to repair somewhere between the two pins for the left headlight. I'll guess it's not meant to have any moving parts.

Can you take a picture of the relay? It is conventional?

Default Re: Similiar Headlight Problems

I brought my car in for warranty service at HBL Tysons Corner and it came back with a non-working driver's side headlight, which they claim they didn't do of course. I'm going to go check it today. I don't know if I'd rather it be the bulb or something else...

What were your symptoms that led you to believe it wasn't the bulb and took you to that connection?
