Heated steering wheel

I test drove a 2002 A8L. The steering wheel felt warm for awhile, then not at all.

Is it heated through the whole wheel? or just certain positions? Maybe I accidentally turned it off. Does it have a separate control? Where is it?

The heated steering wheel only heats for ~3 minutes after you turn on the heated seat.

It sounds as if it is working as it should.
