Replaced fan clutch yesterday...
It was actually pretty easy. The hard part was figuring out how to get the clutch nut loose without the use of special tools. Armed with a crow bar and a large adjustable wrench it came loose without a whole lot of torque. I used the crow bar to put pressure on one of the bolts on the pulley that holds the fan clutch, and used the adjustable to torque clockwise and off she came. There was major gunk on the fan and the old clutch. I cleaned the fan and installed the clutch in the fan and then installed the assembly. I can't believe I was actually going to take it to a mechanic to do.
