How do you get the oil filter off of the cap on a 40 valve motor?

Default How do you get the oil filter off of the cap on a 40 valve motor?
For the life of me I can't figure it out.

Default If you mean getting the filter cartridge off its shaft...
after you take off the housing with the 36mm hex, the drill is a straight pull while twisting back and forth. Grab it with rag.
