How long does it take for the coolant to drain!?
I'm flushing my dad's coolant right now, I got a fat straw hooked up to the drain going into a bucket under there. It is coming out steadily (although slowly) and has been for about 5 or 10 minutes. Will it actually stop?
Also, is it a good or bad idea to "rinse" the system with, say, water from a hose before tightening everything back up and filling with G12 and distilled water?

I put in the whole gallon of coolant, but the car only took another 1/2 gallon of water...
I suppose the level will go down and should be topped off farther down the road?

Air bubble in the system. You will possibly need to use the ...
... air bleeds at the firewall of the car, which are there to ... um ... bleed out this air.
Be careful to not strip them out. They are famous for leaking.
