How to wash engine room?
#2
I just use a vacuum cleaner, blue paper shop towels, warm water with a lot of dish soap.
After cleaning, any remaining dust I remove with static cloths like those from Swiffer.

I bring mine to a high pressure wash
I just put it on high pressure soap, then high pressure rinse. Do it before track events and the engine compartment looks as good as new! Takes all of 5 minutes also.

armor-all tire foam and old cotton towels
I like armor-all tire foam and old cotton towels to wipe off all the excess. Makes everything look like new, and if you wipe off the excess well enough it really doesnt collect much dirt after.
Of course, I'm in the south- no snow- no salt.
