I had the tranny from my other car bench tested now that I need it for my wife's
and it checked out 100%. Good news for me, it should last the life of the car since it's only got 60k miles on it with 2 filter/fluid changes.
I'm going to attempt this on my scissor lift. I called around and the estimates I got for a swap out were $1,300 - $1,800 PLUS fluid and filter change.
I really lucked out with this car fire because I was able to go to school ripping it apart. I don't think I would attempt the tranny swap if I didn't already have an idea what's involved.
Keep me covered, I'm going in

Well in that case good luck then! I chatted with him on it last night, he guessed likely bout $1k.
