Default Jack update...

Many of you recommended I file a NHTS complaint regarding my jack that bent like aluminimum.

I contacted Audi corporate to see if they would "honor" replacing this POS. They told me it was the responsibility of my local dealer and proceeded to call the local service manager while I was on hold -- he wasn't available.

I don't know why I didn't approach him first to begin with (nice guy), call it ignorance. I'll admit that although I feel waranted in demanding a replacement jack for free, I didn't want him to have to bear all the pain since I bought the car from a different dealership.

Nonetheless, he took care of it. Spend $70k on a car -- the frik'n jack better work! I'm glad he agreed.

Done.

Default Did you replace it with a steel or another aluminum jack?

If aluminum, you're probably the first that wanted another one.

Default Yes, they replaced it free. I'll get the steel Storz on my own.

I'll leave the freebie replacement in the car when I sell.

Will I be able to take the steal one with me on my next A8 purchase?
