i JUST BOUGHT A 97 A8 4.2 WITH EVERY OPTION AND PACKAGE. CAR ONLY HAS 48K MILES AND THE INTERIOR ISBRAND SPANKING NEW. MUST HAVE BEEN DRIVEN BY MISS DAISY HERSELF. THE CAR IS CERTIFIED BUT I WANT TO HAD THE XENON AFTER MARKET HID LIGHTS AND I ALSO WANT TO GET THE S8 SPORT SUSPENSION PUT IN. ALSO (i know im asking much)i desperately want to add a high performance AIR INTAKE and a PERFORMANCE MUFFLER. WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS WHERE DO I GET THESE THINGS FROM AND BEING FROM NEW YORK WHERE IS THE NEAREST TUNNING SHOP I CAN GO TO TO GET THIS STUFF PUT ON. ALSO DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE PIPES FROM THE CAT CONVETER ALL THE WAY BACK OR DO I JUST REPALCE THE MUFFLER ITSELF? I APPRECIATE ANY HELP I GET.

Welcome to the club. It's a great car and at least over here you don't see 3 of them every time you drive to the grocery store. Find a good mechanic and you can keep the cost of ownership quite reasonable for a luxury/sport sedan.

Can't help with the tuner/shop out there. For the best tuning parts selection try Andrew/Ken at 2 Bennett [assorted parts stuff] (Davis, CA)or try Hoppen Motorsport [MTM & factory stuff] (FL). I have used both and had no problems. Both seem have good reputations. Think PES [GIAC/Supersprint/PES] is in NJ but not as sure of their reputation.

I am planning on going with the S8 suspension/MTM engine upgrade for the A8 later this year (gotta save $$$ up).
