Default KEY BATTERY

I think my key's battery seems to be low. I have to be right up on the car for locks to activate, alarm to set on an off, and pop the trunk any help please.

Pop open the key, jot down the battery number or take it to your closest Batteries Plus store...

Default There was a TSB for this problem. YGM

I thought low batteries were the culprit too. Turns out it was dumb engineers.

They placed the already paltry antenna for the key fob behind a whole bunch of metal. The sheet metal acts as a shield, further reducing the range of the remote.

When I went into the dealership looking for the replacement antenna, which is literally nothing more than some thin wire, they wanted almost $175 (!!!!) for the new one. I told them to take a hike, and made sure to get an extra refill on that free latte I got when I came in. Bastards.

Anyways, genuineaudiparts.com is quoting me a much more reasonable $76.03 for the replacement. ;-)

The procedure isn't very difficult, maybe just a bit finnicky if you haven't removed the central locking pump yet.

Let me know if I can help you.
