Looking to get a ride in an S8 in minneapolis over the holiday

Having been down the same path earlier this year,....
I too was looking for something to replace our 2000 A8.
Thought RS6, S6 Avant, D2 S8.
RS6 is a screamer, but way too fragile.
When things go wrong, it's financially ahocking.
S6 avant I loved, but in the end didn't want to sacrifice room for just rear end storage. I like the cabin feel of the D2 A8/S8.
Ended with an '01 S8. Everything the A8 should have been. Great steering feel, great brakes, great suspension. Whole other world compared to the S8 in terms of driving experience.
No regrets. For us (2 kids, weekend travel) the S8 has been great. Just did the major service, tending to other things the previous owner didn't get to (tie rods, control arms, tires), but that's the price I paid for getting a steal on ebay.
