Tirerack has great tools to compare tires. I have ordered tires from them a couple of times with good results. They can ship directly to the garage of your choice!

Im just throwing this out there for consideration, but ...
... you own a high speed tier-1 German Saloon which is repeatedly voted best luxury car in North America.
Why settle for a compromise tire which does nothing "well"?
Consider aggressive winter snow tires, and super sticky summer performance tires. You don't have to buy 8 tires at once. Get winters in a couple months, and summers in 6 months.
Put a little cash aside each month with a target amount in your head for the purchase price.

Re: Looking for new tires ..my thoughts..
Forget Falkens..put em on the A8 and they lasted only around 17000 miles and were very noisy.
Replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (all season). Very pleased !! They are expensive but appear to be worth it.

Has anyone else had good luck w / Yokohamas ?
Various AVID types in both my VWs and Hondas with fairly good luck. 17" ES100s on the beetle 1.8t auto. & they're such terrific summer streets
For the A8, I think I'd like next : long, long mileage & wear over performance as I don't EVEN race this car. Seperate winter rubber on 16"s and the balance of months April thru Dec 1st on a harder AW compound, especially with meeeechigan freakin' potholes. I drive slightly more urban miles than autobahnen, these days & I really don't think those wimpy 19" alloys would hold-up here.
Used to run with only Michelins, back when I had money

I like that idea, but the Audi does not get that much winter driving time
since I have 2 beater AWD cars I use. I am looking for a tire that will work in winter, but primarilly use the car when the weather is decent. Saw Bridgestone Turanza LS-V is rated #1 in Tire Rack survey and am leaning that direction right now. Almost bought Falkens, but now heard thay are not great!
