Lower exterior door trim

Default Lower exterior door trim

Hey guys....

So the lower exterior door trim has separated from the door.

I think I may need a whole new plastic trim piece. anyone know where i can get one thats not $300??

I'm assuming you're talking about the black plastic trim. Mine too fell off not too long ago, you should be able to put it back on, each of the black clips stuck on the door come off, the two at the ends are held in by screws through the other side(cabin side) you can slide off the cover of the inside by sliding to the right to access the screws. If you unclip them from the door (i think there are 5) reclip them on the black plastic trim then it should reattach.

Oh btw, when mine fell off i meant it was half way off, but regardless of how much was unattached, just take it all off then try re attaching it. Also a temporary fix for whenever mine was just one clip off, a good straight kick would snap it back in.

The end clip had broken on the passenger front door on my '01. I removed the two screws on the inside and was able to slide the exterior trim off. I then swapped the broken clip at the end of the trim for an unbroken clip toward the middle. Put it all back together and all is well.
