Mass Air Sensor Location
Hey all,
Newbie reporting for duty :-)
Prowd owner of an 3.3 tdi since yesterday. Before buying the car i went to do a checkup at the dealer. They told me the computer return an error with the Mass Air Sensor. I had noticed that when i kicked the throttle down a black smoke came out of my exhaust. It maked sense since there was an error that could be the reason for this. After doing some research online i found the specs for the part, and was thinking of doing the swap myself. Now yesteday i dismantled the whole air intake part looking for this sensor... But no luck. could not find it anywhere. Looked in all the yellow parts..
Anyone here could tell me where to find this??

If it's not inside the airbox then I suggest looking at the parts diagrams from the parts suppliers for clues. Or maybe try posting on a more euro-centric forum like tyresmoke.

You are right, there are two of them. -edit-- with a code reader, which you should own, you can probably find out which one needs to be replaced or if they are problematic just go ahead and change both.
In the USA there are bluetooth readers available for the Torque app for under $5 if you can wait for one from China (3 weeks) or maybe $10 for faster domestic shipping.

Do you guys think it is a DIY job, by looking at the location. It seems very tight space...
