me in my Dad's S8....
One day i was driving my dad's s8 with my dad in the pass seat. We come to a junction with an s55 on the left of us. I ask him, what u got under the hood. He says "more then you can handle". So my dad said "Smoke him". So i beat him by 3 cars, quite easy coz the S55 is an average car with an average engine.
Yep, that shows you that a 13 year old wrote that stupid crap (with the brands switched around) on the MB forums. Surprising how naive rich infants can be:-)

there was a recent article in R&Y (?) where they compared the S8, the S55, and the new 740i. The mercedes beat the S8 in almost every category - especially acceleration. It weights in a few hundred pounds more and has less horsepower than the S8, but still beats it. So either you the other driver wasnt really 'racing', or you may be wishful thinking.

I don't know what you're driving, but my ride is an S-8. I can tell you first hand w/a few ver minor changes S-8 beats the S55. I had a S-55 last year. I have the article you're talking about as well. BUt that is the only magazine put the S-8 down and I can mail you at least 12 magazine articles from Europe showing how much superior the S-8 is over S55. I'll take any S55 w/ any driver , any time with my S-8 , and if I loose PAY ATTENTION: I will hand over my ride, keys and the title. And I am not 13 years old.
