Misfire/CEL fault codes inside:
4 Faults Found:
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16692 - Cylinder 8: Misfire Detected
P0308 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16691 - Cylinder 7: Misfire Detected
P0307 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16690 - Cylinder 6: Misfire Detected
P0306 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
In the last scan there were only misfires on 7 and 8, and I swapped #8 coil pack with #6. Now 6 is misfiring, WTF?! Any clues? Also the misfires are not occurring at idle, if that helps.

did you clear the codes after switching packs?
looks like you are still seeing the old code for 8, after you switched it with 6. I bet if you clear the codes now, go for a drive, and pull again you'll see misfires on 7 & 6. then you buy 2 new coil packs.

Re: ewww. did the wiring harness contacts look dirty or corroded at all?
When did you last change your sparkplugs? I was getting random multiple misfires. 8 New Bosch Platinum plus 4s all round(a little antiseize on the threads) and the problem went away. Many months later I had a Crank Angle Sensor give up the ghost. Guessing it was an unrelated fluke since the intermittment misfire problem went away after replacing the plugs at 90K. I think they were the originals!
