how do you like the struts?
Bilstein: 24066785HD (B6 Performance)
I checked around and other members have used Bilstein: 24066785HD and had good results; ride height the same and handling the same. I looked into going OE but they cost around $300 a corner. The Bilsteins were $118 a corner.
I've measured wheel opening height and will measure it again after installation. I expect driving feel to be tighter do to all the new parts, but will be carefully watching rebound/bounce after bumps and car lean when turning tight corners.
I will post my findings after installation.

I agree with firm but not rough or jittery. Probably more like it road when the car was new. Lean and bounce are generally nonexistent. I only did the fronts. In reality, the original struts were probably fine and didn't need changing out.
The control arms were a different story. I could move the ball joints with the slightest pressure from my thumb, and the bushings were missing anywhere from 30 to 40 percent of the rubber/material. I'm 99.9% sure the arms were original to the car.
Y888: I wonder if your ride feels firmer do to the 20" rims and less sidewall than what my OE 18" have?

I run 265/35 continentals and i would say with these wheels i am getting more feedback from the road, not so much firmer ride than 19s or stock 18s at least i am not aware of it.
I cant really tell how firmer are bilsteins than oem sachs i had because they were shot.
Interesting is that previous owner replaced oem with sachs(122K mls when i installed bilsteins) which means you cant get more than 60k miles out of set of new shocks probably due to weight or idk.

FCP is running a clearance sale on front lower front Lemforder control arms. They're currently priced at $69.65. Get them while you can.
