And the moral of today's story is always get a carfax or carproof..

So even though I am due to pick up my S8 tomorrow I see on craigslist a local 2003 S8 Black and Caramel with really low mileage and nice price. Looked pretty good when the seller showed up but the dealer plate had me wondering since it was listed as a private seller. So to cut to the chase, when I got home a ran a "CarProof" report that shows it branded collision in British Colombia. So you Ontario, Canada guys looking to buy a S8 be careful. BTW do all 2003 S8's have the same vin#'s except for the last 4? Ex: N002358
