I hate to tell you this but the magnetic sign will not "stick" to the aluminum body A8.

Default Re: Greenie, isn't this a nice test of our fortitude?...

You said it! We probably should remind ourselves that personalities are as disperate as color choices on cars and reactions to situations vary as well. Everyone stands on the edge of good and bad judgement and Buybeach may be there. I hope that he doesnt jump! Fortitude? Didnt they buy Jaguar? LOL

Default larger picture...

The larger picture here is that Audi /VW doen't treat it's customers right. A $70,000 should have it's head lights function properly the first time. The dealers are overwhelmed with problems and get they get no support from AOA. In addition parts and warranty authorizations are tightly constrained. Ask anyone with an A4 / Jetta 1.8t that had a coil issue. It's just a disjointed and poorly organized company. Frankly I got tired of dealing with issues like this with my S8 while my friends and family were in the car, it's embarrasing.

John, are you saying that this is an ongoing problem with AoA? How do you deal with it?

X, theres no need to take off on lawyers. Hopefully when you need one, they will be there. To sue at the drop of a hat is irrational and just plain stupid and something that I NEVER suggested. I am not scared to take delivery of this car. After all, I put up with the early Corvettes and BMW`s(1972 vintage, overheating, rebalancing twin carbs every 2 miles LOL). My point about sensitivity is that I feel for what Buybeach is going through but not necessarily the way he is handling it. There is a time and place for levity and.................!!

Gee, you're right! I'll have to attach it with some "museum putty." Thanks!

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/59716/audi_lemon.jpg"></center><p>Yes. This is all a terrible mistake on Audi's part.

What, after all, does anyone want after the ordeal of buying a car (even buying one from a nice outfit like Prestige Imports)? Why to show it off, to take friends for a spin etc.

But it's no fun going for a spin when you have warning lamps on the dash/console, weird behaviors you have to account for etc.

I recall avoiding some encounters of this kind over he past months precisely because I knew I would be asked about the car etc., and would have to hem and haw about it.
