Default My '97 was possessed by the devil this morning

Went to start my car this morning and the battery was dead. I jumped it with the wife's Audi and when it started the sunroof opened and refused to close. Would not have been so bad except it was raining. Also the four way flashers came on and wouldn't go off. Drove an hour in the rain with roof open to my mechanic and found previous owner never vented the battery and it leaked acid everywhere and rotted the positive connector. Manually closed the roof and reset it by removing the fuse. Everything works now and the back seat is nicely washed.

You have a backseat sunroof?

If you drive fast enough you won't get wet in the front

There is a tool to manually close the sunroof in by the reading lights right next to the sunroof switch, you need a philips screwdriver to remove the bezel to get to it though, had the same thing happen when my battery died.

I have experienced the same thing twice, having to take out the fuse in order to reset the sunroof. I have a '97 as well. Actually I think the sunroof opened by itself when I jumpstarted it.

Default Also found the auto up features on the windows stopped-I fixed it by

holding both front window switches up at the same time which seemed to reset the logic. Also needed to press the recirc and '+' keys to return to Farenheit temperatures. Pretty clever electronics on this car.
