Default My Original OEM battery Died Yesterday
Not bad for a 97, started weak yesterday morning, then in the afternoon it would only turn the car over about 1/2 turn.

Autozone 2 miles away has a replacement battery.....$65.99......don't think I've ever bought anything for my car for only $65.99!

Wow: 1.My OEM battery gave up about 3 years ago. 2.That's a good deal on a replacement battery!

Default Since mine was getting sluggish at the end of last Winter, ...
I'll be replacing what will be a nearly 5-year old battery before the weather gets cold.

Maybe....the new battery is a few pounds less than the OEM battery!!!

Default haha I said the same thing when I bought my battery from Sears
I think it ended up bein around $100 and my buddy who was with me couldn't understand why I was so happy.

Default That's amazing. I usually replace batteries every four years as a
precaution. Don't want to have a dead battery in an undesireable location. Can a $65 battery really do the job in an A8. Not to question your judgement, but does it meet the OEM battery specs?

Paul, I have this battery and happily used it for the last 2 years. SO far cranks every time!
I think you will be all set.
