.....the driveshaft would actually be the easy part as a wrecking yard could provide that. The Tranny would have Tozo's name all over it though.

Proably not worth the $$$$...
 

....local Audi yard claims they go through auction with bad tranny's all the time for $500 and no one bids.

Buy it and I send you a rebuilt tranny for $2000+ shipping.

It may not need a transmission.. You may want to ask them exactly what the issue is. I had a bad connection on my f125 switch last year, and that made my car go into limp mode before it shifted to 2cd. Or it could have low fluid.. or xxx..

$1800 is a deal even if you have to part it out ! heck I paid 500 for a used hood, 250 for a used radiator, 125 for a upper radiator hose, I paid 125 for new headlight glass, 250 for a fan bearing. I will be ordering a used front bumper cover for 475. That is $1750 right there! Even the core transmission should be work something once it is out.

if i bought a whole rebuilt tranny would it come with the VB too? maybe thats the route ill take. how many hours labor to put in a tranny?
