Default new member after a bit of advice

Hi all ,,got myself an a8 sport quattro aroiund 3 weeks ago,,got a fault on one of my lambda sensors,,fault is showing as the b2 sensor,,is that the drivers side or passenger side(oh sorry its a uk car)thank you in advance

Bank 2 is, in your case, the passenger's side. But there's a front one and a rear one. The front ones are the only ones that really do anything..the trim the fuel mixture. The rear ones just report on catalytic converter performance, but make no adjustments.

You code should have reported either "upstream" or "downstream" on bank 2...or sensor "#1" or "#2" on bank 2.

If the car has over 80K miles on it, the front sensor both really need changing...code or no code.

Bosch Universals (#15733 for your car...4.2L?) are about half the price of exactly the same dealer sensor with complete harness...they come with instructions and a weather tight slicing kit. Your car will run noticeably smoother and get better fuel mileage.
