What pads did you install? What rotors are you using?

They were generic brand of pads so this may be the problem

Default Did you ...

... follow the proper bedding procedure AFTER you installed them, to seat the pads properly on the face of the rotor and apply the layer of friction material?

One thing I did right... Listened to PaulW and spend the extra bucks for dealer pads. Not a sound

Default Most likely the pad compound

Never been able to find a pad compound that matched the one you can get at the dealer. They won't squeal.

Most other non OEM pad compounds squeal over time because they are too hard.

No, Im sorry that's not what I meant. When you first install new pads, you need to "bed" them, and that means performing a bedding procedure which applies a nice layer of the *pad's* friction material to the rotors.

I wasn't talking about grease.
