Default New Tires on the S8 - AWESOME!

We had a small snow the other day....OMG, the thing is a beast! Michelin high performance snows.....H rated. The car handles great in the dry (much better than anything I've had on the car since I bought it) and in the snow.....can accelerate without kicking in the ESP about 80% of the time (getting on it).....and stopping is absolutely incredible.

Very nice.....

Default I also put on new snows - same feeling.

- not to take anything away from Mr. Waterloo. Now if I can just get all those other cars putzing along in the snow to get out the way! (Fat chance).

Default Gee - I would have thought that it would be more fun without ESP.

- since one will likely get the back end out, etc. Anyway, ESP came in with the facelift?

Default my old B5 S4 wheels with Hakkas went on over the weekend, no real snow yet

except...drove through a blizzard on I-90 from WNY to NE Ohio the day I brought the car back and again the next day around Ohio.

Even with the stock Corvette-like wheels/tires (same size as the fronts on the 'vette) on the S8 the car was pretty good in the snow. But I turned off ESP because the car often would not get out of its own way with it on.

Still waiting for real snow here (I could go to the E. side of Cleve, I suppose).
This is my 3rd Audi on which these wheels (will post pix later) have gone. B5 (with summers), B7, and D2.....thanks to Gary Chen, 5 years ago, for the powder coated S4 wheels...

the black wheels on the B5
